THE WORLD OF YOUR PASSIONS

PalaceGuest: could your next stay at a beautiful hotel be negotiated?

A getaway to Crete, a few days in Ibiza or a stay in Tokyo… Have you found your dream hotel, but the price is making you hesitate?

A relaxing escape at a beautiful hotel: PalaceGuest offers to negotiate the rate or benefits of your stay.

PalaceGuest.com offers to negotiate on your behalf with four- and five-star hotels. Depending on what the hotel can offer, you could receive a better rate, a room upgrade or a few extra touches. The service is described as free, with no obligation to book.

You choose the hotel, PalaceGuest starts the conversation

Finding a beautiful place to stay is already part of the pleasure of travelling. But when it comes to booking, one question often arises: could you get a better deal than the advertised rate?

This is where PalaceGuest aims to step in. The service positions itself neither as a comparison website nor as a members-only deals platform: its role is to contact the hotel directly and request a personalised offer.

The process is simple. You choose your hotel and dates on the platform, which displays public rates and availability. The team then contacts the property, taking into account the details of your planned stay: its length, room category, number of guests and any specific requests.

PalaceGuest says it provides a response in under six hours. You can then review the offer and freely decide whether to book or continue your search.

A better price, with a few extra pleasures

Negotiations may cover the room rate, but also the extras that make a stay more enjoyable.

Depending on the hotel’s proposal, the offer may include a room upgrade, breakfast, more flexible booking conditions or other thoughtful touches. For travellers, the value therefore lies as much in the included benefits as in the final price.

Complimentary breakfast every morning can, for example, make a difference to the budget for a couple’s getaway. A higher-category room can also make an escape feel even more special.

These benefits remain at the hotel’s discretion: submitting a request does not guarantee a discount or an upgrade. What is possible depends on factors such as dates, availability and the terms of the stay.

A free request, with no obligation to book

According to PalaceGuest, travellers pay no administration fees, negotiation fees or commission.

Submitting a request does not commit you to a booking. Once you receive the proposal, you remain free to accept or decline it. If the stay is confirmed, the service says it is paid directly by the hotel, at no extra cost to the guest.

The service is aimed at travellers looking to stay in four- or five-star hotels anywhere in the world. PalaceGuest says it can approach properties without restricting requests to a fixed hotel selection or predetermined travel dates. Whether an offer is available then depends on the chosen hotel’s response.

Since launching around six months ago, PalaceGuest reports having processed 844 requests and assisted 711 clients. Its founder says that 89% of requests resulted in a negotiated offer, with cumulative savings of €177,698.

Examples shared include savings of €640 at The Royal Senses Resort & Spa in Crete, €465 at the Royal Myconian and €270 at the InterContinental Tokyo Bay.

These figures are reported by PalaceGuest. They illustrate results achieved on specific bookings and cannot predict the savings available on a future stay.

Before booking, check what the offer includes

To assess a proposal, take the time to compare like-for-like options: the same dates, room category, number of guests and cancellation conditions.

Also check which meals are included, along with taxes and any additional charges payable at the property. A slightly higher rate may sometimes offer better value if it includes breakfast or greater flexibility.

The aim is to choose an offer that suits the way you travel, with a clear understanding of the total cost.

Developed by a travel agency with fifteen years of experience in the industry, PalaceGuest aims to bring a human point of contact to the online search process.

For those who already have a beautiful hotel in mind, the service may make that long-imagined getaway a little more accessible. One to watch…
